Birth of the Dread Pirate SqueekyFoot

The birth of SqueekyFoot must have started with my interests when I was younger. As a young child, I had some “different” heroes. I loved to read about Vlad the Impaler (the real Dracula), Jack the Ripper, and pirates. I was a morbid kid and this was twenty some years ago. I loved pirates, though I was never a fan of old pirate movies for some reason.

Now, have you ever worn a pair of shoes that, no matter what you try, give off a little squeak when you walk? When I was stationed in Japan, I had such a pair of shoes. Every time I thought I got rid of the squeak, it came back.

I guess one day, the squeaking was bugging Jose because he said something about it and suggested I should get a new pair of shoes. I replied I couldn’t do that and he asked why. Then I replied with confidence, “Because I am the Dread Pirate SqueekyFoot.”

From there, I started using SqueekyFoot as my name on many sites such as MySpace and my Xbox Live ID. The next step is to chronicle the sci-fi adventures of SqueekyFoot and his space pirate crew. It’s going to be sci-fi because it gives me more freedom that way.

I have also recently decided to go by SqueekyFoot in the SCA since my persona is a pirate.

And that is where SqueekyFoot came from.
