I have watched a lot of zombie movies from the more or less serious to the tongue and cheek and have spent some time thinking about how I would survive in a world infected with the walking dead. One thing I have thought about as a way to protect myself is a sharksuit.

If you do not know, a sharksuit is a suit of chainmail designed to help protect divers from shark bites. If it can protect you from shark bites, why not zombie bites. Not sure why the people in zombie movies don’t think of it. Most likely they are too busy running for their lives or hiding or maybe they don’t live near the ocean.

Being south of Seattle, I know of at least three dive shops in the area that carry sharksuits. I also watch a lot Discovery Channel and love Shark Weekso I have been appear of this piece of scuba apparel for some time.

So next time you are running from the hordes of the undead, keep your eye out for your local dive shop and grab yourself sharksuit. It may just save your life. That and keeping company with someone you can run faster than, but that is a different subject.
