Michael Berryman

This past Sunday, the girlfriend and I made a trip up to Seattle for Crypticon 2009 which is something we had been looking forward to since last summer.   We were a little disappointed when we got there though.  It was a pretty small event and unlike something like Emerald City Comicon, it wasn’t something we could spend all day doing.  That being said, I think it has only been going on for a few years and will grow over time. 

We walked around for a little bit and I bought a few DVDs before meeting up with some friends outside to kill time around Seattle.

We then returned to the con to walk around again and meet from of the guests that were there.  The two highlights for me were meeting and getting the autographs of Michael Berryman (Pluto from The Hills Have Eyes) and Sherman Howard (Bub the zombie from Day of the Dead). 

Despite its small size, I still had a good time.  I can’t say I will go back next year or that I won’t.  I am going to keep an eye out for who the guests are next year and I am betting that the vendor list will be even bigger.  We will see.
