With skill and precious honed from decades of practice, Paznic, Keeper of All, inserted the needle of the syringe into the corpse’s eye. A bright, white fluid filled the tube, illuminating the lightless crypt, as the plunger was pulled back. Paznic removed a large tome from out of the folders of his robe and opened it up to blank page. As the plunger was depressed over the book, the liquid spilled out like a fountain, etching the record of the corpse’s life on the page. Closing the ancient tome, he slipped it back into his robe before disappearing into the darkness.
